VILLA MOON. BALI

Villa MOON. Bali. The shore of the Pacific Ocean. 300 sq. m.

Seminyak is the most popular beach resort area in Bali. Restaurants, spas, clubs on the ocean shore, busy streets with brisk trade… There is always a lot of tourists…. Finding a Villa in this area within walking distance of the ocean is a fantastic luxury. Villa MOON was built 19 years ago, it`s just a 7-minute walk from the ocean, and it is completely surrounded by a flowery garden.

The empty and dusty Villa had a very unsightly appearance, but all engineering systems and communications were in order. Excellent marble floor, high-quality columns and wood… This allowed us to limit ourselves only to cosmetic repairs.

The client liked our decision to make a tropical, but nevertheless sophisticated design, carefully placing fairytale-like nuances into the interior. The abundance of paintings and art objects enhanced the magical atmosphere.

The painting culture of Bali came to the island in the 14th century from Java. Artists in Bali create their paintings in a special, memorable manner. We asked to use a combination of black and gold for the artwork “The face of a woman”. Prints from the movie “Ashes and Snow” were hung on the walls of the first and second floors. The themes of eternity and the world`s unity are the best fit for a relaxing, meditative environment, which was achieved in the interior.

In the living room, a large “soft area” was set up in front of the TV: a sofa, a white pouf, a round table, and a white floor lamp hanging over the sofa.
The golden nuances on the painting are supported by other golden elements: the inner part of the floor lamp and a high floor vase. Together they add a nice, luxurious touch to the interior.

A big wooden tapchan in the corner of the living room was left from the previous owners. We filled it with pillows in the color of Tiffany Blue, built a frame on top and hung a mosquito net. It turned out to be a fabulous resting place in BOHO style, perfect for tea ceremonies, relaxing, and reading books.
A large vase in Tiffany Blue became a bright accent of the Villa’s interior. The work of local artisans, it attracted us with its perfect shape and size.

There are many craft shops in Bali that make amazing things out of glass. We picked up dishes in Tiffany Blue: glasses and plates unusual shapes made of cast glass.

On one of the verandas of the Villa, there is a relaxation area with a snow-white hammock and a breakfast table set.

One of the client’s requests was a large number of places to relax, so we placed a round wicker bed with pillows in Tiffany Blue in the garden by the pool.

We purchased a lacquered, two-meters high Buddha statue to replace a statue of an old woman that stood there before, and we also placed blue lanterns around it. A white figure illuminated by blue light in the night creates a calm, peaceful atmosphere.
A round lamp was placed over the pool. The image of the full moon harmoniously complements the composition, and the garden seems magical, both at night and during the day. The moon is also represented by massive stones made of blue cast glass laid out in the garden.

These efforts have made the pool area an interesting, mystically charming space, pleasant both in the evening and during the day.

The renovation and decoration of the Villa took just over a month. A big advantage of Bali is that all furniture and household items can be obtained from local craft shops, and even complex orders are completed in 2 weeks.
